Why Natural Wine
You have probably heard the term “Natural Wine", many, many times, especially on this website. The reality for us, it should be only “wine” or just vino!
But we use Natural Wine to set a difference with classic or industrial wine, which it might not be that natural (no offense).
Our kind of juices, the ones you will find on our online shop or on our physical store, have been produced normally by super small wine-makers, with very tiny yearly production (from maybe 200 bottles to, in the best of cases, 10.000?) it is nothing compare to the big industry nowadays.
This is due to the hard work required to control the production to make a good quality wine. And believe us, there is a huge difference in taste.
Before you begin with the purchase, we want to warn you in advance that it will not be our responsibly if you can't stop drinking natural wines , we've been there ;)
No headaches the next day, a new world of sensations while tasting, smells, aftertaste, tongue sensations, having a crush with some “defects”, dancing with some very well controlled volatile acidity, this are some things you will start to feel if you continue this journey.
Our Story
Hello! We are José and Vanessa, a couple of Uruguayan wine lovers.
Thanks to family, friends and things in life we have discovered the world of Natural Wine and after trying several bottles we figured out there was no way back. Nothing like spending a night drinking this wine with friends and waking up without hangover😊.
This, plus the fact that for some time we started to question what we consume (in every sense), helped us make the decision to open a 100% natural wine shop.
Finally we decided to open the shop in October 2020, beeing fully aware that it was going to be hard to start in Madrid, where was almost zero Nat Wine offer by that time. But fully convinced of what we were going to offer.
We look forward every day to generate a connection between the winemaker and you. Working with small projects, with real and hard working people who have more to offer than a bottle of wine, but also a story, a new idea, eager to experiment, get back to the roots, who have a different way of seeing and doing things.
We love to get involved in the process, learn, meet most of the producers in person, share a moment, a conversation, a dinner, we go to fairs, harvesting and, in the middle of all that, bring a van loaded with bottles for you.
