All the Facts

Michelle and Claudine of Heya Wines are two friends brought together by a shared passion for what they love most: Natural wine.

“Heya” means “she” in Arabic. Their wines are crafted with care and affection, as a tribute to the women who work the land and make viticulture possible.

Kanz means “treasure” in Arabic. The name was chosen because, during carbonic maceration, fermentation takes place inside each individual grape berry, as if it were safeguarding a treasure within.

The vineyard is located in the mountains of Batroun, at 400 metres above sea level, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea in northern Lebanon. The vines are planted on clay-limestone soils and farmed at very low yields of just 10 hl/ha.

Wines that make us happy

Shopping Natural Wine

Each bottle, each vintage tells a story. It is a philosophy according to a way of life. It goes far beyond the vineyard and the wine.

  • Artisans

Our relationship with current producers is 100% focused on trust, we know how they work and how engage they are with the environment and the final product that you will consume.

  • Natural

A natural product with nothing artificial added to the grape growing or during the winemaking processes. Letting nature act with freedom. No additives, no sulfates and no other make ups are allowed to enter in our shop.

  • Family

A family business, started by a couple of Uruguayan wine lovers. We always try to get involved in the process, learn, meet most of the producers in person, share a moment, a conversation, a dinner, we go to fairs, harvestings and, in the middle of all that, bring a van loaded with bottles for you.
