Region: Villamartín de Valdeorras, Ourense, Galicia. Spain
Grapes: Jerez 90% and Godello 10%
Wine Type: Orange
Vintage: 2024
Vinification: Whole bunch grapes, crushed or foot-trodden (depending on the volume available each year), and macerated for 6 weeks. Then aged for 1 year in stainless steel.
Bottled in September 2025.

All the Facts

Two plots, one in Valdegodos: A Pala and Chao do Conde,
with Jerez (90%) and a plot in O Seixo at 630m altitude,
planted with Godello (10%), a very sloping terrain
"Libera" because of the feeling of freedom to experiment
with Jerez and Godello together.
Total production 350 bottles.

As someone is still trying to understand natural wine, this was exactly the wine store I needed to visit. The owners were superb, welcoming me as if I was a local. I heard all about the natural wines in Spain, some of the history behind them and their creators. And I walked out the door with a few of the local natural wines under my arm (to take back to Australia). Cannot recommend enough if you’re looking for Spanish natural wine!!
